Palmer Performance Horses is a 25 acre Breeding and Training Facility located convenient to Exit 298 of the PA Turnpike, in the rolling farmland of northwestern
Chester County
,
Pennsylvania
.
The Farm is very well maintained with caring attention paid to the comfort and safety of horse and rider. The barn contains 26 stalls equipped with an automatic watering system. A wash rack with hot and cold water, two tack rooms and a feed room plus the newly finished office, complete the conveniences of the barn. An indoor arena, accessed directly from the barn, provides year round riding for training and instruction. A lighted outdoor arena is sized to accommodate large or small classes safely. Special attention is given to the footing in both arenas. A large area is available on the property for the parking of trailers.

Matt Palmer, Joan and Guy's son has been an outstanding presence in the
Winners Circle
since the age of 9. He was twice a World Champion in his age divisions and he has many bronze trophies to his name. Matt's Special interest involves working with young horses and preparing them for the Futurities.

Joan Palmer is a full-time professional
trainer/teacher/coach at Palmer Performance Horses. Involved in the horse world since she was a small child, Joan's love of horses led her to her lifetime career. No stranger to the English saddle, she rode and taught both English and Western style riding but, as the horse industry has become more specialized, so has Joan. At Palmer Performance Horses, Joan trains and teaches the sport of Reining and regularly shows in Open classes as well as the Freestyle classes. Joan's students range from green beginners to several students who have finished in the Top Ten in the world standings, including three World Champions. Joan's "family" of Reiners are age 10 to 60 and all receive her special caring attention.
Guy Palmer, the owner of G.A. Palmer, Home Improvement Co., is a highly successful non-pro rider. Guy has shown to a World Championship in the Novice Horse Division. He has also become widely known for his success in the division known as Freestyle Reining. He dominated the Non-pro Freestyle Reining class at the All American Quarter Horse Congress for many years.
Joan and Guy have many credits to their names and both have received the prized invitation to the U.S.E.T. Invitational Freestyle "Reining Class at the Festival of Champions at
Gladstone
,
NJ
, each year since its inception. Guy's "leisure time" is not only spent riding. He also plays a major role in keeping Palmer Performance Horses running smoothly. All the Palmer Performance Horses Reiners appreciate his encouragement and support ant both home and at shows.
